I don’t think there is any need to tell what IPL is but for all those who don’t know, IPL stands for Indian Premier League sponsored majorly by DLF, collectively it’s called DLF IPL. IPL was started last year by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) under the vision of BCCI Vice President Lalit Modi. Last year in 2008, the first season of IPL held and was inaugurated on 18 April 2008 and carried on till June 2008 where the world witnessed Rajasthan royals as the world champions. This year around the session 2 of IPL will commence on 10 April 2009.

India Pakistan political tension is raising after Mumbai terror attacks and cricket is not safe from its effects. participation of Pakistani Players in IPL 2009 is in doubt and final decision is up to governments and Boards to decide if Pakistani players can participate or not.
Though there are 3 months to go but one can clearly predict under these charged up atmosphere of war that Pakistani players won’t to allowed to participate in Ipl 2009.
Politics and sport should never be mixed up but Pakistani indian emotionaly attachment with Cricket is an exceptional case.
